  Just used it for a cross country race. Worked really good and was very comfortable. Had a strong plastic taste but I poured lemon juice and water in it and let it sit overnight. Took care of it.

  Lower weight distribution can be a good thing.

  I am coming from a backpack style camelback. I could feel the weight but loved that my shoulders were freed up a bit. I held my phone, my electrolyte snacks, and my water and it worked great. It is a difference having that weight lower on your person than with a backpack style hydration system.

  Great Pack!!

  Very impressed with this pack so far, have a couple good rides with it and it's been great! It fits great with quite a bit of adjustability for different sizes. Seriously barely feels like it is there when riding. The front pockets are great, and the clip design works well and seems like it will be durable long term. Plenty of storage and different pockets too, I can easily fit enough in the pack for a day of riding. Overall construction is great too, materials and zippers seem like they will hold up well. Overall really happy with the pack. I've been impressed with a few MSR products I've tried and the value is incredible compared to some other more expensive brands.

  Klim XC Aqua Pak

  Will take some getting used to.

  I switched from the Klim backpack to the XC aqua pack to get the weight off my shoulders. I like it, but it's going to take some time to get use to it. For desert racing I have to mount a small flashing light on my pack, and there is no way to fix my light to this pack without adding webbing. I prefer the bladder to be against my back in an enclosed pocket instead of the tool compartment being against my back. The water hose will also take some trial and error before i get it routed correctly. All in all, this is a good pack that is comfortable. Just need to get it set up right.
