When you’re out on the trail, you need proper gear to make sure that you’re protected. However, even if you’re outfitted with a helmet and goggles, you might still be leaving your face exposed to dust or cold weather. An ATV face mask is the answer. It will keep the cold and dirt out while still allowing a good flow of air.
Face masks and related products come in a variety of options, and we’ve got quite the selection here. Some are designed primarily to keep out the cold. Some of these, like balaclavas, cover not only the face but also the rest of the head and the neck. Others cover the nose and below. Neck gaiters are mostly just to keep the neck warm.
However, there are quite a few dust masks which have the primary purpose of keeping dust out rather than the cold. These generally utilize advanced filtration to help you out when you’re on a dusty trail or riding during allergy season. A good ATV dust mask can make a big difference with your riding enjoyment.
Of course, there isn’t a clear line between cold face masks and dust masks. Nearly all face masks that cover the nose will be beneficial against dust on some level, and many purpose-built dust masks can also keep you a little warmer in the cold weather. The first thing you need to do is decide which features are important to you and find a face mask that meets your needs.
Aside from the face mask’s design on how it covers your face, there are also many options with various styles, colors, patterns and images. For example, we have face masks with skulls, fire, camo, patriotic flags and many other designs.

Great way to absorb sweat while riding hard to prevent soaking your goggles and ruining your vision, get a couple to swap back and forth and preserve your vision.

Picked up 4 of these for a guided UTV tour in the Black Canyon area above Phoenix AZ. Guided means you are in a group that follows semi-close together, which means a good amount of dust. These masks did the job well. Lightweight. Breathed well. Kept the dirt out. Can't beat price. Just threw it in the washer and it was ready to go again. One size fits all. It's stretchy. Not cotton. Some kind of dry-fit material.

Good quality but poorly designed. The picture makes it look like there is good coverage down on the sides of your neck/shoulders. It's literally just a head covering with a bib front and rear, which, with my jacket at least, allows cold air in at the base of the neck on the sides.. The thinner mesh material in the rear allows the back of your neck to get cold. Might work for some, but didn't work for me. Going to have to go back to my old AStars version with the busted seam for now.

Bought this to wear during those cool rides so I wasn't breathing as much cold air and it worked great. Material is a tad thin but overall, it was as expected.

My second buy Holding up well to 150 hours annual riding. Use to prevent skin abrasion from dust/sweat and sunburn on back of neck (West Texas Heat). Keeps Helmut liner cleaner also. Rating 4/5 due to price premium for AS products.
